The Speicher Group joined the Bethesda office of Long & Foster Real Estate, the nation’s No. 1 privately owned residential real estate company and the exclusive local affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, in August 2016. The Speicher Group is known throughout the greater Washington area for their exceptional service, expert negotiation skills and tremendous real estate knowledge in the luxury and traditional markets.

The Speicher Group joined Long & Foster and Christie’s International Real Estate to become part of the brokerage that leads the luxury real estate market in the D.C. capital region. With the exclusive marketing, technology and networking resources offered by Long & Foster and Christie’s, as well as the prestige of their brands, the Speicher Group is well positioned to dominate the luxury real estate market throughout their area and even better serve their clients.

The Speicher Group came to Long & Foster from a competing local franchise, where they had earned top honors for their sales performance. There, they ranked as the No. 1 team in Montgomery County, one of the top five teams in Maryland and one of the top 50 teams in the country. They also were recognized by industry news outlet REAL Trends as America’s Best Real Estate Agents in Maryland, both for their sales volume and transaction sides in the past year. In addition, Washingtonian has named the Speicher Group among the D.C. area’s best real estate agents multiple times.

Amie loves getting behind a great idea. Whether it be spearheading a campaign to remove styrofoam trays from Montgomery County school cafeterias or getting more kids interested in science and technology, you can usually find her putting her energies behind a good cause.

Amie’s professional experience includes marketing, web design, and human resources. She was Manager of Online Communications for an association and has freelanced as a web designer.

She was also one of the founding directors of the Great Adventure Lab, a hugely popular science and technology enrichment company that offers classes like Lego Robotics and Crime Science to kids after school. She managed all of their human resources — from hiring and orientation to training and reviews.

Weekday mornings you’ll find her playing pied piper as she walks her twin boys, her daughter, and half of the neighborhood to school — and loving every minute of it, mostly ;). On the weekends she may hit the trails for a run, take a yoga class, or be found at the YMCA playing in the women’s basketball league — something very, very new to her and totally inspired by her kids’ recent passion for the game.

Despite a one year stint living in San Francisco, Amie remains a Marylander — she grew up in the suburbs of DC and on the beautiful Eastern Shore.

Amie earned her bachelors degree in Business Administration from Washington College in Chestertown, MD.
