Rashawna Alfred

Set a goal. Adjust when needed. And always keep moving forward. That’s the formula, the mindset, that fuels Rashawna’s life and career.

Originally from Southern California, Rashawna knows what it’s like to make a big move. She came out east to Pittsburgh for graduate school, pursued a career opportunity in DC, fell in love with the diversity of the region (and the change of seasons!), and put down roots in the Maryland suburbs.

Service to others is a core value. She served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Caribbean where she volunteered for two years with local nonprofits and schools. She thrives in areas where she believes she can have an impact and make a difference. She continues to find volunteering opportunities in her local community, and aims to instill a heart of service in her children. Kind acts to others, even in small ways, matters to her.

She enjoys traveling and has explored much of Europe. Next, she has her sights set on Southeast Asia, particularly Thailand and Vietnam. Her daily soundtrack depends on where she is: in the car, she’s tuned in to current top hits. On the Metro, she’s catching up on news and political podcasts. When she’s not working with clients, she enjoys long walks with her Labrador, accomplishing to-do lists, and staying involved in her child’s school PTA.

Rashawna credits her mother, who raised her as a single mom for a time, as one of her greatest inspirations. In her home, Rashawna witnessed resilience, determination, and the unshakeable sense that anything is possible. That inspiration, combined with her passion for service and helping others achieve their dreams, is why real estate is such a natural fit. Set a goal. Adjust as needed.
